Lauren Walens

Lauren Walens is the senior manager of media and public relations for the AACR. She helps to promote the organization’s meetings, journals, and work to the media and the public. Personally dedicated to the cause, Walens is invested in making an impact against cancer through supporting research and advocacy. Prior to joining the AACR team, Walens worked for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) where she managed strategic communications planning and media relations for several federal, cancer-related legislative issues. She is a new resident of Philadelphia by way of Washington, D.C.
